Lara Miller Studio Sale and 30th Birthday Bash
For the first time ever, Lara Miller will be opening her studio to the public for a one day studio sale event! There will be great deals on Lara's archived collections as well as the opportunity to special order her Spring 2010 collection, seen at New York Fashion Week. That Hobby Looks Like a Lot of Work: New York Times Dives into Etsy
The New York Times wrote a story today about the growing number of people who began listing their crafts on Etsy who have now turned these hobbies into "real jobs." Etsy, if you aren't familiar is an Ebay of sorts for the craft and vintage hobbyist. It is an amazing site with an ever-growing group of sellers. The Times spoke with one designer who took her hobby a little bit more seriously one day, quit her day job and began a business- all because of a huge fan base on Etsy. Saper Law's Designer Roundtable Lunch Event
Saper Law is once again hosting a Designer Roundtable event where attendees are invited to bring their unique pieces, or their pocketbook, to "sell, shop, or share." The Saper Law Designer Event is geared towards entrepreneurs in creative disciplines, namely fashion design, jewelry design interior design, film, music, and art. The two hour lunch event includes time to network, eat lunch, and peruse the make shift boutique. Come to learn from and talk to other professionals in creative enterprises! Last year, the roundtable was a great success and this year should be even better!
